Blephamide is a prescription medication for treating people who have bacterial infection in the eye. It is combination medication that contains an antibiotic (sulfacetamide) and steroid (prednisolone).

When treating the eyes there has to be a great deal of care taken and eye infections should be treated as a matter of urgency. If you are told that you have uveitis, chemical burn or radiation injuries then you are likely to be prescribed Blephamide to cure it.

It is prescribed when there are concerns that there will be a bacterial infection forming either in the eye or around the eye.

Blephamide 10%/0.2% is made by Allergan and it is available in a 5ml bottle size. The cost for one bottle starts at $43 and $111 for three bottles. This medication would be dispensed from one of our Canadian pharmacies and the estimated shipping time to USA would be 7-10 business days.

Taclonex (calcipotriene/betamethasone) Dosage and Side Effects

TACLONEX is a combination medicine used to treat plaque psoriasis.  It contains both betamethason and calcipotriene. Betamethasone is a steroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Calcipotriene is a form of vitamin D. It works by decreasing the rate of skin cell reproduction.

Warnings and Precautions

You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to betamethasone or calcipotriene.

To make sure this medicine is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have:

  • high levels of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia);
  • a history of kidney stones;
  • liver or kidney disease;
  • severe forms of psoriasis (with pus, skin peeling, severe redness);
  • a skin infection; or
  • if you are receiving UV light treatments (phototherapy).

It is not known whether this medicine will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.

It is not known whether TACLONEX topical passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Do not apply this medicine to your breasts if you are breast-feeding a baby.

Do not use this medicine on a child without a doctor's advice. Children can absorb larger amounts of steroid medicine through the skin and may be more likely to have side effects. Steroid medicine can also affect growth in children. Talk with your doctor if you think your child is not growing at a normal rate while using this medicine.

TACLONEX topical is not approved for use by anyone younger than 12 years old.

Side Effects

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Topical steroid medicine can be absorbed through the skin, which may cause steroid side effects throughout the body. Tell your doctor if you have:

  • weight gain (especially in your face or your upper back and torso);
  • slow wound healing, thinning skin, increased body hair;
  • irregular menstrual periods, changes in sexual function; or
  • muscle weakness, tired feeling, depression, anxiety, feeling irritable.

Children can absorb larger amounts of this medicine through the skin and may be more likely to have side effects.

Stop using the medicine and call your doctor at once if you have:

  • severe burning or irritation where the medicine was applied;
  • redness or crusting around your hair follicles;
  • pus, swelling, redness, increased itching, or other signs of skin infection;
  • high levels of calcium in your blood--constipation, increased thirst or urination, muscle weakness, bone pain, confusion, lack of energy, or tired feeling; or
  • signs of low adrenal gland hormones--worsening tiredness or muscle weakness, feeling light-headed, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and weight loss.

Common side effects may include:

  • skin dryness, itching, burning, or irritation;
  • mild rash; or
  • changes in skin color.

This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects.

Interactions with this medication

Do not use on broken or infected skin. Also avoid using the medicine in open wounds. If this medicine gets in your eyes, nose, mouth, rectum, or vagina, rinse with water.

Do not use more than one topical steroid medicine without your doctor's advice.

Avoid having your hair colored within 12 hours before or after you apply TACLONEX to your scalp.

Avoid exposure to sunlight or tanning beds. This medicine can make you sunburn more easily. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) when you are outdoors.

Tell your doctor about all your current medicines and any you start or stop using, especially:

  • any other steroid medicines; or
  • other medicines to treat psoriasis.

This list is not complete. Other drugs may interact with TACLONEX, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Not all possible interactions are listed in this medication guide.

Proper Use of this medication

Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Do not use TACLONEX topical to treat any condition that has not been checked by your doctor.

Do not take by mouth. Topical medicine is for use only on the skin. Do not use in the vagina.

Read all patient information, medication guides, and instruction sheets provided to you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.

Wash your hands before and after applying this medicine, unless you are using the medicine to treat the skin on your hands.

Shake the suspension (liquid) or foam just before using it.

Apply this medicine once daily to the affected skin and rub it in gently. Do not spread the medicine over a large skin area. Do not apply to areas of thinner skin (face, underarms, groin) unless your doctor tells you to.

Do not cover the treated skin area. Covering skin treated with a topical steroid can increase the amount of medicine your skin absorbs, which may lead to unwanted side effects.

If you use TACLONEX foam: Do not use more than 60 grams (1 full can) in 4 days.

If you use TACLONEX liquid:

  • Adults should not use more than 100 grams (1 full bottle) of the liquid in 1 week.
  • Children age 12 and older should not use more than 60 grams of the liquid in 1 week.

If you use TACLONEX ointment: Do not use more than 100 grams (1 large tube) of the ointment in 1 week. Avoid treating an area that is larger than 30% or one-third of your entire body.

Ask your pharmacist if you have questions about how much to apply each time you use the medicine.

TACLONEX ointment or foam can be applied daily for up to 4 weeks. The liquid can be used daily for up to 8 weeks. Follow your doctor's instructions about your individual treatment schedule.

Call your doctor if your skin condition does not improve after several days of treatment, or if it gets worse while using this medicine.

If you use TACLONEX long-term, you may need frequent medical tests.

Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep the bottle or tube tightly closed when not in use.

Stop using the medicine when your skin clears up, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

TACLONEX foam is flammable. Do not use near high heat or open flame. Do not smoke until the medicine has completely dried on your skin.

Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line if anyone has accidentally swallowed the medicine.

Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.

Biaxin XL (Clarithromycin) Product Information

Biaxin XL is a medicine for treating some bacterial infections, including pharyngitis, otitis and pneumonia.

Bacterial infections are quite common and when they appear there has to be a way to treat it. Also known as clarithromycin XL, this antibiotic can clear up bacterial infections for many diseases.

Order Biaxin XL and Generic Clarithromycin XL Online

The brand product is made by Abbott Laboratories Ltd. and we carry it in just one dosage: 500mg. This a product of Turkey and also marketed under the alternative name of Klacid MR.  The cost of this product starts at $35 for 14 tablets.  The estimated shipping time is 10-18 business days to the United States.

We also offer a generic product of Canada known as Clarithromycin XL that is manufactured by Actavis. The price starts at $123 for 60 tablets, with an estimated shipping time of 7-10 business days.

There is a standard shipping charge of $9.95 per order.

Please note a valid prescription is required to process your online order. The prescription can be faxed, emailed, or uploaded directly on the website.

Call 1-855-776-0079 if you need any assistance from our customer support to place a new order or order a refill.

Dosage

The doctor will determine the dose that you should take and they will make their decision based in a number of issues. The first one will be the condition that is being treated and another will be any other condition you have and medication that you are taking for them.

Normally the dose is taken twice daily. It often recommended to take the tablets with food to minimize stomach upset. As often advised the complete course of the antibiotic should be finished to ensure the infection is resolved and that resistance in the future does not take place.

Side Effects

There is the risk that there will be side effects when you take this antibiotic and some of them may require you to see the doctor if they seem to be getting worse or even not starting to clear up. The things to look out for will be:

  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea
  • Changes of taste

It is best to take the tablet when you are supposed to as missing doses will lessen the effect of the medication. If you have diarrhea or any other intestinal problem then you may find a tablet has passed through the system and is in your stool. Again, this is something that the doctor needs to know about.

Other issues to inform the doctor about are:

  • Weakness
  • Blurred vision
  • hearing loss
  • Slurred speech
  • Dark urine

Precautions

Your doctor or pharmacist needs to know if you have used this drug and were allergic to it or one of the ingredients. They also need to know about your medical past and if you have any other allergies that may be being treated. The important medical history that the doctor needs to know about are:

  • Liver disease
  • Kidney disease
  • Heart disease – coronary artery disease or heart attack including a family history of the condition
  • Irregular heartbeat
  • Myasthenia gravis or any other muscle diseases
  • Dizziness and the feeling that you may faint

If you are going to undergo surgery then the surgeon needs to know about the drugs you are taking. The older you are the more of a risk there is that you will suffer side effects and this will be particularly with regard to hearing difficulties and heartbeat irregularities.

If you are pregnant the doctor will decide whether it is more beneficial for you to take the medication rather than be concerned about the baby so it is likely that it will only be prescribed when there is no other option. It is known that this medication passes into breast milk so discuss breastfeeding with your doctor.

Shipping time for your online order does vary depending on the product selected. Typically an order from Canada or UK will take an estimated 7-10 business days to ship to USA, while from other sources would take 10-18 business days.

A Biaxin prescription is required to place an order with our online pharmacy. The prescription can be faxed, emailed, or uploaded directly on the website.

Dosage

If you want to start taking Biaxin, it is vital to do it correctly to be safe. The most important thing to recall is that Biaxin must be taken the way your doctor prescribes it. Don’t change their prescription or you will fail to see positive results or even harm yourself. Biaxin should only be used to treat a health issue that has been clarified by the doctor.

So it is totally irresponsible to give this medication to another person who has not seen a doctor. Let them get checked as well. When taking Biaxin, you can safely do it with or without eating a meal.

Usually, Biaxin is prescribed for seven to fourteen days. Don’t take it beyond this duration. By this time your symptoms will have improved. Don’t skip your doses either as this can put you in danger of developing a new bacterial infection that will not respond to Biaxin or another antibiotic.

If you must take other medicines to treat the same infection, follow your doctor’s instructions completely to ensure your safety.

Side Effects

Clarithromycin is likely to cause some side effects, although this will affect only some users. The most common side effects are bearable and they include the following:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Bad taste in the mouth.

It is possible to tolerate the above-mentioned side effects without the help of your doctor. On the other hand, there are severe side effects you might develop and require the help of your physician. These are symptoms of an allergic reaction such as hives, breathing difficulty due to swollen throat or tongue, sore throat, fever, skin rash, pain, reddening and blistering among others. If you notice these plus fast heartbeats, confusion or signs of liver or kidney damage, call your doctor immediately.

Precautions

Prior to taking your first dose of Biaxin, have a conversation with your doctor concerning your general health issues. By so doing, you can be safe when taking Biaxin or leave it alone if it would cause more harm than good. So let your doctor find out the following about you:

  • Jaundice or liver issues triggered by clarithromycin
  • Ongoing liver or kidney disease and are using a medication called colchicines to treat it
  • Allergic to clarithromycin or related medicines( azithromycin, erythromycin or telithromycin
  • If you are taking medicines that could interact badly with Biaxin. Examples are pimozide, cisapride, lovastatin, simvastatin, dihydroergotamine, or ergotamine
  • Suffer from heart problems, including coronary artery disease
  • Have diabetes
  • Low potassium or magnesium levels.
  • You are pregnant, looking to conceive, or breast feeding

Usually, Betoptic  S is a suspension that is only designed for eye use. Don’t use it in any other way or give it to another person who has eye issues.

To achieve maximum results, use Betoptic S at the same hour every single day. As it is a solution, make sure you shake the bottle prior to usage. If you wear lenses, remove them prior to use and wear them again fifteen minutes after treating your eyes. The method of use includes the following:

  • Tilt your head backward
  • Push your lower eyelid down until you see a tiny pocket. Hold it with one hand and use the other to squeeze out a drop into the pocket
  • Close that eye for one to two minutes and make sure you press the corner of your eye with a finger. This will stop the medication from flowing out of the eye.
  • Wipe any excess medication from your eyelid.

Make sure you stop using this medication exactly when your doctor asks you and don’t skip it. If you forget taking your dose, take it the soonest you can recall. If it is almost time to take your next dose, skip it altogether.

Side Effects

There are likely to be side effects when using Betoptic S. It is good to be aware of these so that you can report anything you cannot bear.

The most common side effects are also the easiest to withstand. In the case of this medication, most people encounter eye pain. If it persists, then call your doctor.

On the other hand, you can suffer from severe side effects and you should tell your doctor about them.  These include any signs of an allergic reaction, including skin blistering, peeling, rash or hives, itching, reddening or swollen face, tongue or throat.  Some people may notice changes in eyesight, eye irritation, slow heartbeat, muscle weakness and involuntary weight gain especially around the legs and arms. These side effects should be reported to the doctor.

Precautions

Before you start taking Betoptic S, make sure you can safely do it. Hence, discuss with your doctor about your health issues as some of these might affect their final decision. So:

  • Tell your doctor about your betaxolol allergy. If you are allergic to any other part of it or other things, tell them too
  • Do you suffer from heart issues, such as heart block, heart failure or slow heartbeat? If yes, inform your physician
  • Tell your doctor about your asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • Inform the physician about any prescription or non-prescription medications you are on
  • If scheduled for an eye surgery or have an eye infection, tell your healthcare professional
  • Talk about your high blood glucose or diabetes.

Note that this medicine may make it harder to notice signs of low blood sugar or an overactive thyroid. As a result, you should be observed closely.

Tambocor (flecainide acetate) Dosage and Side Effects

TAMBOCOR is used to prevent and treat life-threatening irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias). The medicine belongs to a class of drugs known as anti-arrhythmics. It works by slowing the electrical signals in the heart to stabilize the heart rhythm.

Warnings and Precautions

TAMBOCOR should only be used to treat people with a life-threatening irregular heartbeat.

The medicine contains a black-box warning because in clinical trials, TAMBOCOR raised the risk of either death or a second heart attack among trial participants who had already had a heart attack in the past two years.

There's not enough data to say whether TAMBOCOR also poses a serious risk to people who haven't had a heart attack in the past two years.

Tell your doctor if you have atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter (conditions in which the heart's upper chambers don't beat effectively) before taking this medicine. You may be at higher risk for developing a new irregular heartbeat.

Also, tell your doctor if you have, or have had, any of the following before taking TAMBOCOR:

  • Heart block (a condition in which electrical signals don't pass through the heart normally)
  • A pacemaker
  • A heart attack, heart failure, or any type of heart disease
  • High or low levels of potassium in the blood
  • Liver disease
  • Kidney disease

Let your healthcare provider know if you're on a strict vegetarian diet before taking this medicine, as the diet could lead to TAMBOCOR being cleared from your body more slowly.

TAMBOCOR may help control your irregular heartbeat, but it won't cure the condition. Continue to take the drug even if you feel well.

Don't stop taking TAMBOCOR without first talking to your doctor. Your condition may worsen if you stop taking the medicine suddenly.

Be sure to let your doctor know you're taking TAMBOCOR before having any type of surgery, including a dental procedure.

This medicine shouldn't be given to a child unless your doctor tells you to do so.

Pregnancy and TAMBOCOR

It's not known whether TAMBOCOR can harm an unborn baby.

Tell your doctor if you're pregnant, or might become pregnant, before taking this medicine.

TAMBOCOR is passed into breast milk. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of breastfeeding while taking the drug.
