Blocadren also known as Timolol can be used for conditions such as high blood pressure, preventing migraines, heart attacks and angina. It is classed as a non-cardioselective beta blocker.

Depending upon the condition the dosage prescribed will vary. The doctor will determine the amount to be taken and their recommendation must be followed.
When treating hypertension, you will normally start by taking 10 mg twice each day. Sometimes it will be taken alone and other times alongside a diuretic. The doctor will judge your heart rate and decide whether or not to change the dosage. Once stable, it is likely that you will receive between 20 mg and 40 mg a day. If it is considered necessary, then 60 mg a day will be prescribed and this is likely to be over 2 doses. When dosage is changed, it should not be altered again for at least 7 days.
Migraine sufferers will be started with 10 mg twice each day and this will move up to 20 mg once a day once stabilized. The highest dosage that is recommended is 30 mg a day. It should not be taken for more than 6 or 8 weeks.
